Kristin Fisher was added to CNN's Space and Defense Correspondent team on July 20, 2021. She covers everything, including NASA and the Space Force and commercial space businesses to the rise of space tourism. Kristin is the mother of two NASA Astronauts. Kristin has grown up working in space, and has covered Trump and Biden Administration space policies for FOX News as White House Correspondent. Over the course of her tenure, she reported on the 2020 presidential campaign, the impeachment trial and two attempts to prevent the pandemic coronavirus, in addition to two distinct administrations' efforts. Kristin travelled frequently, and both with the president and vice-president. She even went on a top-secret trip to Afghanistan alongside Donald Trump. Before joining the network in 2015, Kristin spent nearly a decade working her way up through local TV news markets which included Grand Junction, Colorado; Little Rock, Arkansas; and Washington, D.C. where she won the Emmy Award as a one-man-band reporter for the city's CBS affiliate. Kristin's expertise as a camerawoman has led her to create Field Mouse Films which specialized in making documentaries for clients of corporate nature, like Uber Hotels & Resorts, and Starwood Hotels & Resorts. Kristin graduated with a Bachelors of Science of Journalism at Boston University. She and her husband, who is three years old, daughter reside in Washington, D.C.
